Rattly horsebox partition

I have a LOVELY new horsebox which I'm really pleased with. There is just one thing that is annoying me & that's a very rattly partition... I think because the bolt on the central partition is metal and sits in a hole in a metal frame. I'm wondering if there's any thing I can use to make it a bit quieter, maybe spray on rubber or something?!! It would have to be very thin as it's quite a snug fit already.

If it's a new build the makers should really have a go.

If not the thin-ness will be a problem. Duct tape might be a bodge, a better solution would be to go to a local engineering firm and get them to machine a nylon bush. Perhaps £50 or so (or less) if you ask nicely, not cheap but worth it for a quiet box!

What about wrapping it in the thin tape plumbers use?

Make a thin washer out of rubber, even from an inner tube. That ought to stop it.

Ive got noisy partitions too! Im thinking of wrapping some vetwrap round the rattly bits to see if it helps. Will be interested to see your replies

My jockey door rattled something awful. Padded the corners with insulating tape covered with duct tape, lovely & quiet now.
