So I have taken the plunge and put my big boy on a raw diet.

He originally could not figure out what to do with the chicken leg I gave him, i think having always eaten dog food made him lazy haha, but the next day he got the hang of it.

So we are now on day three and things are going well (he is loving it) but I'm unsure of how much to feed him.

How much would you recommend for a 10.5 stone English mastiff?

My Inuit is currently 10.5 stone, )but he is a little overweight from us not doing as much due to other dog's illness).

He SHOULD be around 9 stone. It's best to calculate from the dog's IDEAL weight rather than current weight and it's 2-3% of it. Larger dogs tend to need closer to the 2% though.

I'm feeding him per day:

800g meat
100g bone
50g organ
50g liver

So that is all x7 for a week's portion and bagged up individually each day.

I don't tend to feed bone in each meal, I tend to save the bone portion for a really big bone for him to chew on all week (like the cow's pelvis he's been gnawing on all day). This means I can give him something when I go out to keep him busy.

I buy from Durham Animal Feeds and I feed mostly green tripe for the meat as they love it, it's good for massaging teeth and gums and it's reasonably low in fat.
