I managed to get a Pheasant down @ the pub :D and was wondering peoples thoughts on feeding Pheasant neck?

He has the meat from shot rabbits from time to time but no bone as I understand rabbit bones can be quite brittle? Even though he is a small boy (under 7kg) he copes fine with duck & lamb necks.

Thanks in advance!

Daughters whippets eat whole pheasant, pigeon and rabbit. Fur feathers and bones. The bones only become brittle enough to splinter when cooked.

Thank you for all your fab replies!
He will be having everything that I don't want.
We also have a lamb head in the freezer with teeth and eye intact-not for the faint hearted ha ha!

My dog caught a wild rabbit last week and scoffed the lot there and then. I often feed raw chicken with bones included. Just wish I could get regular fresh rabbit and pheasant. I live in Norfolk but do not know any hunters or gamekeepers, buying from the butcher is too expensive.
