Thought I'd share a few pics from my weekend away at RC camp with my mare. We had such a great time and she was a total superstar from start to finish. I took this mare from a friend on LWVTB. She was only ever really supposed to be a companion/ light hack
I swore I'd never have a mare and it took a while for our relationship to build but she is so amazing and we have such a bond now that I've never had with a horse before!
Originally meant to be a broodmare she was a late starter being backed at 5 so was very green when i got her 18 months ago. We went to camp last year and she was the star of the show with her 'hell yes, lets try it' attitude and came away with a belief in her head that she was a proper sports horse ... Honestly her head swelled and the attitude change was so amusing I constantly laughed at her. She came in from her winter break this year feeling bigger and better and she hasn't disappointed.
Our flatwork is a work in progress, she isnt the best conformation wise and she is very sharp and hot to ride because she just wants to get on with it and do her job. She loves to jump and is a XC machine!
This XC fence was massive for us so annoyed it looks so small in the photo, lol
It's a shame I swore to sell both horses at the end of summer, swearing I wouldnt do another winter, lol!
