RC Event ideas?

hi all. just going to pick your brains here. my local riding club (stranraer and district) are looking for idea's for some new events to introduce to the club. Fellow members think the club needs more variety. we all ready have the usual show jumping, dressage and cross country kinda stuff.

i was just wondering if any of you guys can help us bring in some fresh ideas?
we are also thinking about having some lecture/demos. any idea's on any topics we could use would be great.

On a less serious note... We were just talking at our RC lately about having a fun "end of year" show for adults that had handy pony, gymkhana games and fancy dress etc - all the fun stuff that kids get to do!!

Car "tack" boot sales go down well with our lot in winter.

Probably not helpfull but dont play hide and seek - i did once and my horse knew where the others were hiding - and after a detour through a thickett and me being knocked off my horse when we went under (well horse did - i didnt) a low branch - the game was declared null and void and boy did i get a telling off from my dad !

Seriously how about a combined training event - or dressage with poles - style jumping - horse and dog jumping round - pairs jumping - pairs dressage - an old fashioned paper chase - acumilater jumping course - acumilater dressage - how many transitions you can ride in a 3 min period - etc
