Went to the Area 14 (I think) Riding Club Junior ODE qualifier for Offchurch in August held at Poplar Park and had a fab time

This is the first competiton Sicco has been out to since having his Wolfteeth removed a few weeks ago so wasn't sure how he would behave

Dressage- Really lovely test marked by a certain judge who has never really marked (I feel) Sicco fairly, but today he excelled and done a lovely test which earned us a mark of 30.9 (highest in the whole class!!!) and a lovely comment which brightened up my day

SJ- No questions but a nicely built course which wasnt causing any problems so to speak and Sicco flew round beutifully (I think

) and had a clear

XC- Always been our weakest faze and today the course wasn't as easy as last year, it was most of the BE Intro course and so I was slightly pooping my pants

Needn't of woried as Sicco flew round giving me a lovely time and went clear

Now the boring part, waiting for results, had everyones full marks up apart from my little square for he XC and Time penalties

typical

Waited ages and turned out I had 17.6 time penalties which was gutting but I wasnt too bothered as he was suuuuch a good boy

So ended up 6th individually (would have won without the time penalties

Was a really lovely day though if slightly windy and wet.

Oh well done!

Shame about the time penalties but sounds like you had a brilliant time and isn't that what it's all supposed to be about?
When there's pressure on to try and qualify for things it's easy to lose the enjoyment factor.

Congratulations again.......you deserve it!

Well done that trak was causing lots of problems yesterday , none of the fences seemed that bad but certainly the course as a whole caused problems through out the day. (2nd horse of the day demolished one fence! Rider and Horse were both fine though)
So very well done.
