Any suggestions where to advertise to find a competent light rider for a newly backed Section A? Tack shop ads have produced only lead-rein riders, not what he needs.

I would contact your local Pony Club Branch. They might know of a child with enough experience to help you.

Pony Club and MGA (If you want him doing games)
If he's a good jumper maybe go along to 128 BS shows and if you see a rider you like the look of approach there parent and ask if they'll ride him.
