My horse has had a back operation and has had a lot of time off. I am looking for someone in the Warwickshire area who could reback him for me. He has been a monster in the past and I am hoping that the operation will see a change in his antics. I dont want a rough rider that will bully him, I just want a sensitive person with a velcro bum!! Johny Trice Rolf has been recomended but I cant find any details for him. Can anyone help??

Has he had a kissing spine op?
Sorry cant help re the rebacking as Im in Hampshire but was just interested to read your post as mine had a KS op last year..

yes it was, had 3 removed. I dont want to be the first to get on him as I landed on concrete the last time. He doesnt need a nervous wreck to get on him for the fist time in over 12 months!! how is yours now?

Mine had 3 removed as well! He was operated on in April 05. went back into work 6 weeks after op and did 6 weeks intensive lunging in the Pessoa at all paces and for the first time in his life was able to lunge him properly without him being a rogue.
Rode him 3 months after the op- was a different horse and continued to improove until he went absolutely ballastic in the field one day ( another horse wound him up) and I dont know what he did to himself and he ended up having 4 months off work with physio.
Just bought him back into work again and he had his first jump today for the first time after his op and he was just awesome! ( see post below)

Hope that your horse goes well, keep us updated with how he goes!

Forrest, you may not recall but I am sure that it was you that gave me a load of advice re the lunge work covering timings and build up etc. We have had so many stops and starts due to him being a thug and falling over on the lunge and the walker!! He is more than ready to start now, its just that I'm not!! will let you know how it goes. thanks
