I schooled today for 20mins, and OH got some on video. It's a bit jerky and makes us look like the trot is a bit weird, but think you get the general idea.

I know I look down and tip forward, so am working on that. I know I am really too fat to ride, and have lost 2 stone, am also working on that. If you saw me warming up at BD or BE would you think "she shouldn't be here"? I want folk to be very honest, I won't take offense at all. i need to be told if my aims of an Intro in septmeber are far-fetched. I know you can't comment on the jumping side.

How are you too fat to ride? Don't be ridiculous! Well done on the weight loss and all the extra riding will only help you to lose more!

I had a very rude oh once who came with me to an event and there was a considerably large lady warming up for xc and he turned to me and said ' that's a bit unfair I hope she gets off half way and they swap'

I was v embarrased!!! You are no way in the 'time to swap' category so don't worry about that.

I think he looks nice not at all out of place at an intro but if you are feeling a bit windy about it why don't you try an unaff ODE or a BE80T first?...

I think when you go and complete your first ODE on him you will feel fab and realise that it only seems a scary prospect coz you are a bit out of practise, one event under your belt and you will be well away.

Keep up the positive attiitude everything is going in the right direction and you WILL get there don't be put off by the looks and comments of others you are compoeting to have fun keep that in mind

Looks absolutely fine to me. I also have the bad habit of looking down but hey we're non of us perfect. As far as fatness goes errr I don't think so!!
If you feel confident enough to an Intro then have a go.

not only do you look absolutely fine, you are obviously aware of what the horse is doing as it happens, and able to make the necessary corrections. you can ride!! go ahead and enjoy it.

No way would I see you in a BE warm up and think what on earth are you doing here If you had seen the standard of riding on Saturday at Hutton then you would know that, I didn't go on Sun but if those courses jumped as well as they did then there must have been far better riders than on Sat - some I was shocked at to say the least.

Hey! what are you worrying about?
You are fine. Yes, you do tip forward a little but no more than a lot of riders and at least you are aware of it and try to correct. Also from what I could hear on the video you have a great awareness and are correcting as and when needed.
PS your OH sounds gorgeous!

You'll look fine and I'm sure you'll be ready for an intro in sept, good on you for having something to aim for. Your OH will be able to help, calm you down (and give you someone to shout at!!). Kick on and go for it!

I can't view your video because I'm at work - but having seen you ride at U.H. I can tell you that no way should you worry about looking out of place at all! Go for it.
