Just posted this on my FB - really wound me up!

How to make horse riders look like arrogant idiots class 101: Ride over the bypass bridge near Whitehough with no hat or high viz, cause a tailback of traffic, and continue chatting on your mobile whilst ignoring all other road users.... great advert! Not! Jeez! All non-horsey ppl please be aware we are not all like this!!

It is not just the UK. I work in Belgium and yesterday I was driving to work down a busy duel carriage way in rush hour when two horses crossed both lanes; ok they were on a zebra crossing but only one rider was wearing a hat and the other was using a mobile.

I have never seen the use of high viz here, although to be fair I haven''t seen many people hacking either.
