Re homing My Ex Racer

Has anyone rehomed their horse to a charity for ex racers? Does anyone have any experiences of good ones or even ones to avoid?

It depends on which part of the country you are. I would suggest ringing the RoR helpline as they might be able to recommend some. In the SE of the country, we have the Racehorse Sanctuary in Godalming, Surrey. I would avoid Final Furlong like the plague.

Thanks, im in the south east so surrey would be good, I have contacted RoR and they have advised some places. I was hoping to find out about any experiences of people who have used these charities to see if they actually worth using.

I would imagine they are over run by racehorses directly off the track and you would not fill their criteria as the animal is already owned privately but I may be wrong. Good luck.
