I am looking for a horse for my young adult son. I am not bothered about age but it has to be safe. I was thinking that given the situation regarding welfare centres being inundated with horses, that re-homing a horse from one of them might be the way to go. Apart from WHW , does anyone know of others in Scotland or Nth England?

When you say "apart from WHW" does that mean you aren't interested in trying them?

There's Mountains Animal Sanctuary in Angus, but I think they are being rehomed as companions.

There must be others, keep bumping the thread! :)

besides some peoples strong oppinions on this...
id go to equine rescue rehoming, i adopted my colt from them and i know lots of other people that have adopted and have nothing but good things to say about them.
if your intrested pm me for more info :D

No have nothing against them - they didn't have anything suitable at the moment, so thought I'd try somewhere else. :)
