Thanks everyone for your replies about the jockey door in a horsebox.

Now my question is it is not possible to put a door in the OUTSIDE of the box but it is possible to put one form the living into the horse area ( in the bulk head ). Any idea as to how much this would cost??? Ive priced up the door its about £200 but not sure on the cost of someone cutting it out and fitting????

Couldnt your OH do it? It's not a very hard job.

ETA 200 pounds for a door????? A door for our lounge cost less than that.. WITH the frame and fittings! surely it'd just be an MDF jobbie, a frame, two hinges and furniture?

Give your local carpenter a call, he'll do it. I expect all in al it would probably take a couple of hours to do, so about 100 pounds?
