re-occuring bruised hoof

hi, my horse has had a few bouts of bruised soles now. at present i am putting kevin bacon hoof balm on the top of his hooves. is it benificial to use a hoof hardener or similar product on the soles? has anybody got any recommendations?

eucolyptus oil over hoof and sole that will harden them up!

is there anything wrong with the actual hoof conformation? Only ask as my horse has flat pedal bones and is foot sore.

Talk to your farrier and they may be able to trim the foot differently if the bruised sole is always in the same place as could be cause by a foot imbalence?

if you think about your own feet, if you were constantly walking on your heel or the side of your foot you'd feel quite sore there
