Re. Oldenburg Branding & Inspection Question

Hi, Just wondered what other people are doing when having their foals inspected? Are you running your mares round a triangle with foal free or running the mares round your manege and letting the foals run free?

Im hoping this is decided when i get there !!! but im guessing i would run the mare in hand to dictate the pace of the foal ??

If the mare is to fast the foal will canter not trot ??

We are delighted that our two coloured mares - Florida E (Arpeggio) & Regazza Gazelle (Ragazzo) presented on Wednesday to the Oldenburg Verband were both graded into the Main Studbook.

Our coloured filly Firebird C (Stravinsky xx - Arpeggio) was also inspected - she is now branded Oldenburg and was awarded Fohlenpramie!!!!

Most of the time they just want to see the foal loose next to it's mum and walked and trotted around. Depends on your set up and they are very helpful.
