Hi, I would like to let all of you know that Louie my 17.2hh WB who had the meniscus problem (Post on 6/7/09) has amazingly come sound after being turned out in the field! I had decided that he could have summer out and then he would have to go to heaven but he looked fantastic in the field so I left him 3 weeks and lunged him again and we haven't looked back! I have just started riding him and he seems fine. If he remains sound he will be up for sale, with a vets report, in a couple of months.
Fab news!

Forgive me if i am wrong but one month ago he was in such a state that PTS was your only option and now just 4 weeks later you are planning on selling him?

a torn meniscus can not heal properly in that amount of time, it is physically imposible! Be careful with your workload, surely selling him wouldn't be advisable until he is 100% healed and fit IMO that is

hey - PTS wasn't the only option but obviously there is the cost of keeping a horse that looks like it cannot be ridden. It hasn't happened suddenly, he spent about 5 months on box rest and then months out at grass. He was then brought back into work, and has remained sound, with short sessions of work and actually seems to be improving with the work
Believe me, this horse is very much loved

I would like to inform all of you out there that do not check your facts properly, only have limited knowledge and obviously think I am a retard that every step of the way this horse has been referred to the vet or surgeon and treated and worked only as advised. This was only an update to keep the well meaning people informed as requested. This injury has been healing for over 10 months now.
Please take your rude messages elsewhere.
Thanks Danni X

It does say with a vets report, there is no suggestion anyone will not be informed. I'm pleased to hear things are looking brighter for you both
