Many thanks to Northhorse who suggested putting water on the floor and seeing where it goes!!! I did this and it went straight to the channel where the 2 strips on concrete join. This channel is also perfectly positioned right where the urine will probably be anyway.

So I'm getting my uncle to drill holes along this channel, as Northhorse suggested, so the urine will drain away into the ground and I shall get some rubber mats next week for the whole of the stables! YAY!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, but espcially to Northorse

I have rubber matting on a level concrete floor (the stable was meant to be a tack room not a stable therefore never sloped the floor when it was built) I use easibed in the corner to catch the pee and do not have a problem with smell.

I lift the mats evey 2 months or so and give the stable a good powerhose out. Seems to work well.

Good luck with your matting!
