If you want to look at the completed questionnaires that formed the basis of this article then go to http://www.biw.kuleuven.be/genlog/livgen/chgs_is_Breedprog.html

and if you wonder where the claim that GB requires stallions to attend a 2-day station test for 3 consecutive years (and that 40 stallions have done this!) go to the SHBGB set of answers and laugh at their intrepretation of what the questions mean :)

The sad thing is that the whole of the Interstallion research programme is now severly under threat becuase the big German studbooks and the KWPN withdrew financial support for it at the last WBFSH General Assembly becuase they said that less successful nations were learning too much about why they were successful and therefore might become more serious commercial opposition in the future :-(

... Meanwhile the Scandinavian nations and a few others generously and altruistically continue to contribute accurate, honest data and to update their entries for the common good of the inetrnational sports horse breeding industry. At least some people have a wider view :)

Very interesting, Ciss, thank-you! (Hope you're healing quickly, by the way.

I remember hearing something about the withdrawn support . . . not really a surprise I guess.
