Re Training Of Horses

Hi guys,

Basically I have a 9 year old horse tbx had him a couple of months now. Hasnt had any schooling etc so still green and so am i rather. I know not the best combination but I want to make this work. He cant work in an outline or bend correctly so how would you reccomend i go about teaching him this. He now responds to leg aids etc and is starting to bend. Im lunging in side reins but even lunging he is new to.

Leg yielding and shoulder in- very basic, but I find them essential to all my schooling.

If you aren't sure at all I'd recommend getting somebody to help you, either an experienced person or an instructor.

Good luck by the way!!! I tend to find if they haven't been schooled before, treat them like you would a youngster in the school and just achieve little victories at a time look for steady/ slow progress rather than a rapid enlightenment!!
