I would like to wish every one a merry Christmas and I hope you all enjoy your day…..
I really need some advice,
On Christmas Eve I rushed home from
Work and found a carriage has hit my parked truck that was outside my house, the carriage was abandoned in the road with only 3 wheels intact with a broken axle and a wheel laying on the road… the pony bolted and the owner just ran after the pony. Luckily the owner and pony are ok..
The carriage clipped my front wing and got caught up and has hit the rear quarter panel and has made a significant dent that’s caved in by 2/3 inches on the rear tub of my truck as well as broken plastic arches….
The owner returned really apologetic as he passed out house twice daily week in week out!
he said he moved over as he was coming down the street to make room for a cyclist but his horse moved over 2 much and that’s the reason his carriage clipped my truck.
he admitted fault straight away.
He gave me all his details and said he is insured 3rd party. He has given me his British driving society licence and membership number! Is this like his equivalent of a driving licence? I am unsure??
can I make a claim for this accident?
