Anyone had any similar experiences/found an answer?
Horse had flu/tet jab on Tuesday and has reacted, he hadn't been layed down last night and was very stiff in muscles/reluctant to move forwards this morning (more happy to move backwards). Just waiting to hear back from vet about what to do with him. Tried to make him walk as much as possible by scattering carrot chunks around etc. Eating, passing muck all fine.
Now he has reacted before, back in 2006 when he had Flu &Tet (this was a different strain of vaccine to this time). Reaction much worse than he is showing today. He then didn't have Tet again until 2009, using the new combined vaccine (fine, no reaction, never reacted to flu on own either). Hence it was this vaccine that he has just had, thinking he would be fine again but he has reacted. He hasn't missed 2 years this time, so i'm wondering if that's the reason? Shall discuss with vet, but interested to hear peoples thoughts.
Don't want this everytime he has Tet because it does seem to knock him off colour. At work now, but waiting to hear from vet. Last time he reacted they weren't too concerned and he was given some bute.
