Harvey has been diagnosed with the above following unsuccesful treatment with ventapulmin and bute. His breathing on Monday, the day of his scope was 30 breaths per minute.
The scope showed slight paralysis on one side of his wind pipe, but vet said this is quite common and even horses that event can have this and not have problems
The fluids however have shown considerable white cell count and fungal infection.
Vet has advised antibiotics and a steroid inhaler mask.
Has anyone any experience of this? I know I should have asked vet more questions (and will asap), but just wondered if this is a disaster, or something that will clear up in time?
Will also post in veterinary, but not so many viewing ther just now :)
Apologies if I've got any of the terminology wrong, but couldn't really take in everything vet was saying.
