Reading Horse Sale - Tack Auction?

I was wondering if anyone has been to this and if it is worth going for the Tack auction? Looking for turnout rugs mainly

TBH, you get the odd bargain, but the people there are either daft, or just plain stupid as they bid up and over what the stuff generally costs new!!!
They do a catalogue online though if you want to checks whats in.

thanks for the info! Just had a look at the cataloge and doesnt look like its worth a day of work.. plus i would probably come home with some horse i felt sorry for! haha

Agree with Joeanne: I've struggled to find anything I wanted in the size I wanted at a sensible price. IMO you get better bargains in the rummage area of local tack shops or at shows.

BTW did you know Countrywide at Twyford have an equestrian evening coming up on Thursday 14 October 3pm-8pm? They usually give 10% off and have some decent offers on things

Have you tried catlips farm in Chorleywood - might be a bit out of your way though.
