Very excited abut trying samples as people seem to rave about it!

So a question...

If you used it - how long for? Just until your horse was up to weight? It's pretty expensive for continuous use, so I'm thinking in Yms of short and long term use...

And how quickly did you see results?

When you finished using it what feed did you replace it with?

Thank you :)

We use it all the time. It's been very good for our veterans, and also as a sloppy feed whilst doing endurance.

We did overdo it last year with Spud though as he got VERY fat over winter, so he won't be getting as much of it this year. If we could source the lower calorie versions locally we'd probably use them for him instead, at least while he was on his winter holidays.

my boys been on it for about a year now, he loves it. i first started using after he fractured his leg to get some weight back on him and he was looking better after about a month on it. cant help you with what feed i replaced it with cos i still use it!

we use have used it all the time for about 2 years for our 40yr old pony with no teeth :D has defiantly made a huge difference to his weight :) we feed it along side bailey's no.1 cooked cereal, beet pulp and hi-fi senior as a hay and grass replacer.

hope this helps :)

I used it to get weight on my TB mare - she went from this when she came out of hospital

I took her off it when she eventually got too fat and she's now on Fast Fibre, but the Readymash Extra is great stuff - and not actually that expensive because it seems to last forever!!

Wow Holly Hocks, how much were you feeding? And what did you feed alongside it. (or anyone else who wants to answer!). Such a difference.

I like the sound of this feed I would like to give my boy some warm when he gets back from a cold days hunting how much do you give a scoop full !!!

It is fab stuff and smells lovely when made with warm water. A scoop full would make too much, just 2 or 3 good hands full should be enough. Throw a couple of carrots in and they love it..

In a month after 2 bags :) I used it with alpha a oil and linseed - cost me £40?

ETA: you are supposed to soak it! One scoop doubles in size so I fed 2 scoops of dry feed between 2 meals
