i have been bringing a welsh sec. c back to fitness over the past few months, and despite the snow we managed to keep going. Prior to the snow she had been doing quite a lot of road work, then had 2weeks off for the first load of snow, and then has been mostly schooled until the second load. Managed to ride her twice most days around the land during the most recent snow, doing lots of trot and canter work, and we popped the odd log/ditch etc. Hacked her out today for half an hour with 15mins solid trot work, then a further 20mins in the school with some canter work, and she didnt break into a sweat
she clearly cant be ready for a full days hunting, but do you think we could get away with a gentle few hours out soon? any other suggestions as to what i should do with her now the snow has gone to get her hunting fit?? thanks
