re. the weather forecast! I've got to see how "well" madam is feeling before deciding what to do with her, she maybe not fit enough to go hunting that soon

It is down on the meet card as OJD ie Optional Jump Day so there will be two field masters but I think we all know which hedges Graham will be jumping!

Ooooh....I've never been with the Readyfield.....its next door to where we shoot....I'm kinda tempted.

Anyone know what an OJD is like?

CrazyMare, Optional jumping means there will be two field masters, one to jump up ahead with, and one who hangs back and finds things you dont have to jump!

They are still normally quite quick days though, and normally best if you do jump something

Oldgit, I'm pretty sure I have been but it would have been a while ago! I remember seeing you and your coloured out with the S.Notts on a thursday jumping hedges

I used to take my little coloured cob or ride Phillip Taylors horses

I jump up to about 3ft/3ft3/3ft6 out hunting usually - would that be enough?

Usually go out with the Quorn, just never been bloodhounding.

Will propose the idea to Dad - so long as he isn't shooting I bet he would be up for taking me....

Yep you'll be fine with that! I have been on some of the big days, and theyve jumped some big stuff, but not silly scary big stuff

They have calmed down the last few years too, I went on the Readyfield farm meet years ago and there were some HUGE hedges to jump, and it was a lot quicker than when I went in 2008. They are a lovely crowd, and you will have a fab time if you go
