Doing a horse rescue of a horse which looks like it's somehow fallen into a cess pit (at least that's what I think it is - I've just turned it on)

Wasn't in Wiltshire was it? Our vet had a callout to same situation last month.

Look at the fencing, why in heavens name is there not 5 foot of solid post and rail fencing around that pit. The poor horse must have stood on the lid and crashed straight through it.

It could be - it is Hampshire Fire and Rescue as far as I can see, but they may have attended if closer than a Wiltshire engine? The horse is called Annie. Vet is female, but didn't catch her name...

Yep - they got the lid out earlier - broken into two pieces....
