I’m tentatively looking to buy a second horse and am keen to hear your thoughts on budget requirements as prices seem to have gone up a lot recently. I would be looking for a cob/weight carrier (For 11-12 stone) no bigger than 16.2. One that is sound, safe and sensible to be used for hacking, fun rides, trips to beach etc. I’m not picky on what the horse looks like and but it does need to be established so no just backed ones. Roughly how much would you expect or be willing to pay?

It depends on age and other factors doesn't it? My friend just sold her 12yo horse who meets those criteria for a lot less than £10k. Home was much more important than price and the horse is positively thriving in their new home.

An older horse, something with a health issue needing maintaining, or a TB or standie would go less but, yes, expect around 10k.
