pony i am selling went away to potential new owners for two weeks, they thought knew he was rising five and green so returned him with the reason that he was green and too young for them!!!! Hello he is 4 what did you expect.

Anyway that isn't the annoying the thing.....what it is, is that he now bolts out hacking shys at everything, scared of his saddle. What on earth did they do to this pony he was forward when he left but bomb proof, easy to do....how in a week have they managed this, now going to take ages to get him right and get his confidence back up, need to sell him but not going to be able to for a while now.

Poor pony.

That's the sad risk of offering a 'trial' away from your yard.

Sorry you boy's come back so traumatised. Hope he starts feeling better about things soon.

Hopefully he will. He's probably feeling really upset and confused by the two recent moves.

When I sold my last one I told her interested party that they were welcome to arrange to ride her as much as they liked before making a decision whether to buy her, but from my yard and with me there to supervise tacking up... where they planned to ride her and for how long etc.

I will be doing that from now on.

Poor pony and poor you.

Selling/buying trials seem to be like marmite. They are either amazing and work, or absolutely horrific. Sad that yours had to be the latter :(
