OK, so I'm really crap at dressage, but I used to have a really nice TB type who would do a fab test - always crap marks.

Mums IDx horse the judges like but he's got great paces and does a good test so can see why..

My horse today, did sooo much wrong (to the point where we nearly trampled the boards) and didn't deserve 67%!!!

I just don't get it!!??

No me neither - I think the slogan of my eventing career has to be "Well I just don't understand what the judges are looking for"!
I've decided that actually most of the odd marking is down to the judge nodding off halfway through the test - in my first intro test Missie (rather embarassingly) struck off on the wrong leg in canter, then yesterday she actually changed legs - neither judge noticed and we got 7s for the movements! Not that I'm complaining but still!

Your overall way of going must be quite good,Sit in with a judge if you can to get an idea from their point of view.
But they are a strange lot and different judges like different things or think they are important.
Daughter away I have my computer back.
