I'll try and keep this short! Sold my horse in April because I couldn't afford to keep him, but circumstances have now changed and I am in a position to be able to keep one again. I am going to look at a loan horse this afternoon and I am so excited I cant sleep, which is why I am on the computer!
One concern, his owner has told me over the phone that when he isnt fit he gets excited in canter and can put in a small buck, but not enough to get you off. This is a very experienced dressage horse and he is 15 years old.
Now, I was never the bravest of riders, and this is worrying me, because I dont want to waste her time, and he sounds lovely in every other way, but I dont bounce very well any more!
Do I go or not? I have no faith in my own abilities, my best friend says I am a better rider than I think I am, but my nerve is very fragile and it doesn't take a lot for me to lose what bit of confidence I have. I dont jump any more but I love my flat work and hacking, so he will be perfect if I can just get my head round the rest of it!
What would you do? She sounds a lovely girl and I dont want to waste her time, but what she thinks is a little buck might be huge to me!
Thanks for reading, sorry for sounding so feeble!
