Were finally on the move and I cant wait....... sand school here we come!!!!!

this maybe a silly question but im confused!

I called the new YO last night to make the final arrangements for the move and asked her where she gets bedding and haylage from etc.
Anyway the haylage is sorted as I no the person, but she said that she would like me to have Bio Degradable bedding so she can put it on the garden etc, she uses staw called "cousin jack" but I would prefer shaving as its going to be cheaper to deep litter, anyway when I mentioned wood shaving she said that she would prefer bio degradable stuff, I thought wood shving was????

please dont laugh if im being really thick! plus I have a really bad cold and flu so maybe my brain isnt working properly!!

I think shavings take a hell of a long time to 'break down' into something that can be used on a garden??? Could be wrong tho!!

Surely they are bio degradable tho as they are a natural substance!!!

They are biodegradable but they take a very long time to break down. Straw takes not time at all compared to shavings.

We sell a lot of Miscanthus (Fennington Fibres supply to our shop), it rots down quickly and has been very popular. Also is about £1.25 less than superior shavings.
