I'm off to my first ever sponsored ride! yay. It should be really good! But Henry gets Very competitive and strong... so i need biting advice... i have a 3 ring gag which i bought him in but i now use a half cheek snaffle which is great for schooling but on hacks it isn't really enough... But i'm reluctant to put him back in the gag as he doesn't like it very much so... What bit should i use? (i can beg/borrow most types of bit if needed)

Bits, Bits, Bits - Do you have an instructor to advise, this is really something that is completely independent to each horse. Whatever you decide please make sure you have ridden your horse in it before you do your sponsored ride!! You don't want a nasty shock on the day!!

Its a continental jointed gag. His mouth is normal(as far as i know) Hes a 15.2 cob (if that helps). Mostly head tossing, and rushes and if i school in it he overbends.
thanks
