Not totally horse related, but sort of is!

Friend and I are off to Burghley in a caravan. My dad sorted a friend's caravan out for me to borrow, I told him we needed a really small one so my Astra could pull it, and I was assured it is small. However I went to see the caravan over the weekend, and needless to say its not a really small one!

Unfortunately we have booked and paid for everything now, so are trying to figure out a way of getting caravan there.

The last resort is using dad's truck to get it there, but it means taking caravan there, driving truck back home and then back in my normal car - we are two hours away, so its something I would rather avoid.

Looking into hiring a towing vehicle through work - asides from this has anyone else got any other suggestions?

You need a suitable vehicle to pull a caravan, especially as its an offence not to have the right vehicle. Either use your Dads truck or hire a car. Not worth risking getting caught by the police, causing an accident or worse.

Could do, - but there aren't any car rental places near me... (hence why seeing if I could get one through work, as it would be cheaper.)

Unfortunatly dad needs the truck on the Sunday (he does his game keepering then) and thus needs the truck :( lesson to self - check the caravan next time
