Really need some help from Essex peeps...

I really have to look for a cheaper yard now... although I love my yard where I am, its just becoming too much for me to keep control of.
I would like a yard be it private or what so long as its safe for my boy and friendly
Good fencing all yr t/o too.
School would be a massive bonus,
Good hacking would also be great too we like to go out hacking lots... just don't get the opportunity to at the moment
DIY or assisted DIY

I am not being able to enjoy my boy recently and would really want to.

If anyone knows of ANYTHING please PM me....
I have no idea about any of the local yards, dont know which ones are good and bad... please can someone help me out??.

I would say about 20 mins drive max. I do 15-20mins at the moment.. but prefer not to have to go through Colchester town of a morning or evening just to get to yard... traffic is a total nightmare! lol

Is there still a little private yard in Layer-De-La-Haye? I'm sure there used to be one just along the road from the village shop closer to the green. Have you tried the yards down Olivers lane, Potters Medow is the better one as far as i have heard.

Try giving Barn Stables a call as they are in Layer, i don't think they have liveries and turnout is limited, but they may know of somewhere nearby. The yard i was thinking of is set back up a driveway, so you only see it if you are looking at the houses. If you go past with the shop on your right, its a little further on on the right, you can see a gateway and a barn type building up between the houses. No idea how you would contact them other than to leave a note on the gate or ask neighbours or at the shop.

Have you tried this place, in Thorpe? I drive past it often, it looks lovely from the car and would probably take about 20mins from Colchester if you're on the 'right' side.

Ok so... I know about that yard in Boxted...(preloved advert) and yes she has a space...
just the only trouble is the traffic as I would have to battle going through town

The place I looked at today is a no go for sure

So.... keep looking I guess just difficult to find somewhere that has decent t/o... this is my high priority for him.

Oh well... sure something will come up soon enough....although not quick enough for me
