your right she couldn't understand why she would struggle with insurance, thank god i directed her to a good yard ,who told her no 24hr grazing but starvation paddock and to expect the vet bills, she was gutted because she couldn't buy it pretty blankets for when it rains AAAghhh shoot me

At least she asked for help from you and us obviously open fir advice and will hopefully follow it so she, pony and kid can enjoy their pony

It really annoys me!
I know some one who dosn't have a clue about horses and brought a 3 year old for her daughter whos never even had a riding lesson!!

I know how you feel, girl on our yard had a confidence giver on loan to enjoy through the summer hacking with us and competing while gaining her confidence back after a years break. This was also her first proper ridden horse, previous ones were little ponies she showed and sat on every now and then. Last week on the monday she decides she wants her own horse, fine, we all start to help her look, we think: 7yrs+ done a bit of everything but she can also improve it with lessons and she can also enjoy nice quiet hacks with ( she's still extremely nervous in certain situations), 15hh MAX as she's quite small. She insists she wants over 16hh (no reason) and on the saturday she takes delivery of a yearling expected to grow to 16 something hh...... By the time it comes to break this horse the amount of money spent on it will be unthinkable. Rugs have already been ordered, bandages, bridles, rollers and cavasons have been bought for this YEARLING which will GROW over the next few years... Seems like these days people have more money than common sense.
