Took him to Duckhurst Trailblazers to do .85m and he was really good

got a fairly nice clear round, if a bit speedy but he was listening to some extent as i asked him for 2 long ones and he did as i asked

and then we went the long way around in the Jump off as one of the fences was at a strange angle and its only his 2nd show since April so don't want to put him off so we had a nice double clear

Was quite happy with that! May put him in the .95m next time...

Think am going to spend this week teaching him to slow down and come back to me in canter when i sit upright and lean back a little

Took him home and decided to do a chaser clip as he is still living out for the time being (when he comes in will do a blanket) and we used heavy duty clippers (as in machine on the floor with tube connecting to the clippers

) and he usually gets stroppy with me when i do his chest and between his front and back legs, but he was really good just stood quietly the whole time which is a real improvement

didn't go too far between his front legs as i know he doesn't like it and i don't want to hurt him but will probably be able to get a bit more off next time now

So all in all a good day yesterday ! Shame i don't have any pics though
