So I have been up since 6.30am. I already fed my horses this morning, had to spend all day out in the freezing cold work riding 4 bloomin TB's - one of which had the sheer CHEEK to jig jog ALL THE WAY HOME! Then I had to clip 2 of the darned things! And now I have to go back outside and sort of my lot again! Gah! Is it too much to ask that the 6 I have in not to make a single bit of mess in their stables for one day! To fill up their hay, water and feeds themselves so I can sit by the fire doing SFA?!?!? Selfish, selfish horses!

AND THEN! You get the other 9 that are living out! Well! Could they not just sort themselves out as well as I really can't be bothered getting my brand spanking new Glow In The Dark Wellies muddy! I won't be done until 9pm and I really, really can't be bothered with it all! It's not like they win me loads of show classes during the summer to make up for having a lazy winter in the field!

My horses and ponies really don't deserve me! They really don't!!!

(P.S. This is completly tongue in cheek and I am off to sort the critters out just now!) :D

I agree completely with you ! I wish mine would realise that I do need a lie in now and then so he could at least get himself up dressed & fed and go to the field by himself once in a while :-)

sorry, youve got GLOW IN THE DARK WELLIES?!

YES! My sister bought them for me for my birthday! I have to say I was more than eager to get them covered in mud but see when you are carrying out armfuls of hay and you want to put them down in pies without being MOBBED by Shetlands they are boomin great! They see the feet coming and run a bloomin mile! They serve their purpose really rather well!

I completely agree. My two donks have a beautifully bedded stable with free access to their field. Mucked out this morning, get down this afternoon and four new turds deposited in the stable and only one in the field!!! They regard their stable as one flaming big litter tray!!!:D

It's disgusting really isn't it. Every morning I leave the house and ask the cat if she could please do a bit of housework while I'm gone and perhaps have some dinner ready when I get home but NO she thinks it's acceptable to spend all day sleeping and chasing her own tail. Is it really too much to ask?
And as if that's not enough I spend the day sorting out a load of other animals who seem to think they can poo everywhere and let ME clean it up?! They also expect me to fetch them food and water whilst they just lay around and have a life of luxury!

And as for the horses well I have told my boy in no uncertain terms that if he doesn't start cleaning up after himself then he can forget carrots and cuddles and look forward to 7 day a week schooling sessions. I think he may have cottoned on to the fact that the more I have to clean the less time I have to ride!

My dog hasn't even done me the favour of eating the post for me today. So I had to come home and face my old school's alumni magazine. 4 pages of depressingly glamorous, over-achieving successful women.

Know how you feel, now sat at home trying to warm up after spending all day playing ponies (as my husband calls it) Did say to my 10yr old daughter once that she needs to do better at cleaning her pony's stable and feed bowl, how would she like to sleep in a dirty bed and eat off a dirty plate. Her reply: she wouldn't like to but then she didn't intend to poo on either of them!!! I get it from both sides. One nicker of hello from over the door or across the field and i forget it all!!
:)

Ah but it won't make them run a mile for long. I used to wear a flashing reflective tabbard to bring ours in, which used to make them run a mile. Now they see it and stampede towards me knowing its feed time - your shetties will latch on in no time! Better get them muddy hun!
