Mt NYR was to keep myself to myself, not get involved with the seeming ever increasing be itch ing on the yard - and leave everyone to sort out there own horses (i had a few problems last year).

Today - i have been shouted at for not feeding AS I ALWAYS DO IT !, i have been asked if people can have my spare water as it is now 6pm and they "forgot" to get theres ! the water had been on from 8am until 4pm ! i have been texted to see if i can catch and finish 3 horses off - i replied no to all of them and have walked away from 2 discussions that were be itch ing about others on they yard. and yep its only the 3rd !

stick to it like glue!! you can't let people take advantage, and well done. maybe when people see you're really not going to do everything they will go out and deal with their horses! also, if you're worried the horses aren't going to get water, leave them a note to remind the owners to get it, then they have no excuse! x
 
Sounds like some pretty shameful owners on your yard. Its just not the weather to be forgetting water or sending people last minute texts to fetch your horse in.
 
Well done for sticking to it, although it does sound difficult.

Broke one of mine tonight by keeping my mouth shut, but my time will come.........
 
Oooh well done. Keep yours up and let them do their own dirty work. I don't mind helping people, even without expecting anything in return but I'm getting sick of people being lovely to me when they want something and then blanking me when they're fine and not requiring favours. My NYR is to say "Bollocks to you" more often.

One day finally did it for me, first i was late to the yard (6.30 am) one of the other liveries had a go for not feeding her horse - and she had fed her own and nothing else - including mine that are in the same block. Then the que for the water - i was bitched at for doing my 3 horses waters by everyone who has one or two horses - can they not just jump in - they only have one to do and should get priority - can they just fill this - they dont want to be here all day..... so Weebrown i agree with you the year will see a lot more No's, sorry i cant's, from me to
