Really stupid tack question, but I need help please!

When I was untacking at a show recently, I didn't do up my noseband after I took it off. On my new bridle, it had the padding on the strap (I'm so stupid, I don't even know what to call it?!), and it fell off and I didn't realise until the next day..

Does anyone know if I can get just the padding from anywhere, or will I need to get a whole new noseband?

Here is a pic of what I mean incase anyone isn't understanding my stupid babbling the bit under the noseband buckle.. God, I feel so stupid.

have seen some for sale on ebay (new) they were under Stubben but i'm sure there are others there aswell.

The padding shouldn't fall off. It's a new bridle you say, so take it back and get the noseband replaced, the padding should be stitched on.

It's padding for crank noseband, not sure if you can buy it separately, but wouldn't curb chain guard do?

Some Tack Shops sell spare chapes or their Saddler can make you one up, I was asked to make one recently but didn't have the right colour choice of leather for them!
Secondly and this is not meant to be critical just friendly advice!
Your cranknose band back strap (one which presumably fell off?) is on the wrong way round as it the flash strap going round the nose. All buckles on bridles (apart from buckled up billets) should all face the same way, look at your buckles on the cheeks and throatlash, the noseband and flash strap buckles should match, it is not only to match every thing else but by facing towards the rear of the horse it is much harder for them to get pulled undone, it's for safety reasons.

Yes tack shops love people demanding refunds if you "lost" part of your bridle!!

Cranks can be arranged so the padding cannot get loose, but the fast east manufacturers don't tend to put them together properly

In the mean time if it were me, I'd buy a lovely gel curb guard, or ignore it if the noseband is not tight
