Really want to ride....

Pointless post really.....
Im down staying at my OH's and as i sit on the couch looking out the window looking at the sun splitting the sky and all the lovely flat, dry fields all around me I have such an urge to jump on my horse and go a hack.

Bearing in mind said pony is a 17hands warmblood who doesnt 'get' hacking esp if there are no other horses there to hold his hand (hoof?) I have no idea where this notion has come from

I am hoping to ride this afternoon, my mare has forgotten hacking alone, hopefully she will remember enough later today for a little solo plod all being well. The weather is dull,cold and uninviting tbh, but I must get back in the saddle if I can

no snow at all here - weathers fab....shame my horse is 3 hours away

I really wish i had the type of horse i could fling in the trailer and bring down here with me.....OH lives on a farm and the farmers daughter has a lovley wee cob he could befriend however I think he would die off- he doesnt cope well with changes to his routine...plus all the shooting aroud here he would be wired to the moon...sigh why did i buy a daft warmblood

I would be investigating the possibility of riding the cob, or is there another horsie round that way you could borrow for a hack witht he daughter and cob?
