I wouldn't pay anything for it, not interested in gypsy ponies. But if it was fashionable and was a breeding stallion prospect then yes, there are people in this world that pay big bucks. I'm not saying it is stallion material I hasten to add - don't know a good gypsy horse from a bad one myself

I have a registered Irish Romany bred Gypsy Vanner Cob, tbh you can pick them up really cheaply. I paid £1100.00 for mine 18 months ago, he is probably worth about £2500 now as he is 15hh 7 years old and I've got rid of most of the horrendous habits he had picked up from his Gypsy family.

The colt in the ad is a good stamp of his type - short coupled, good feather, good bone (considering he is only a youngster), and a true vanner ranges in size from 13:2 up to 15hh (gypsies say that over 15hh they need more feeding, so they have bred them smaller but given them shorter backs so they have tremendous "pulling power" - just think how heavy those old wooden romany caravans must be).

I am not sure what "Moulding breeding" is, I have googled it and it would appear to be a good bloodline as there are others out there with the same, so perhaps the value is in the bloodlines?

Vanners are hellishly expensive in the USA, I was offered over $20,000 for mine by a Vanner breeder/owner over there ... but he is not for sale for all the tea in China, best £1100 of my husbands money that I have ever spent!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Depends greatly on if you know and want something from that bloodline. I would say possibly half that if it's a really good one

I've been offered a lot of money for my lad (they were thinking he was a stallion), you'd be amazed what some of these horses sell for.
