I have two horses one is mine one my daughters, they share a field and have stables next to each other in a barn. They can see 3 other horses on the other side of the barn. My daughters pony will not stay in field with out my mare, just runs around like a mad thing. Again he can see the other 3 in there field across the drive but cant touch them.So they come in together and go out together not a problem. The problem we have is when I hack or school mine he goes mental in his stable and has started rearing at the door. He is always left with hay and have now started to feed him as I leave. He used to just walk around for a while then setlle but seems to be getting worse. He is fine if he is taken away to be ridden and she is left not nappy or naughty at all.

Any Ideas?

our little one was like this, Didn't rear but would buck and 'bronc'. Our trainer told me to wave a lunge whip in his face everytime he did anything, not to make eye contact and don't speak to him at all, Do this daily and move further away from the stable when you feel he has settled a little bit. Don't retaliate(sp?) to anything he does just stand in silence and not to touch him. Hope this helps, and good luck ! xx

Try a stable mirror, or a radio playingi dont think id feed as id see that as rewarding the behaviour, or mabe change it to feed when you come back from riding if hes been quiet ?
