My old lad is 31 and has arthritis in his hocks. This morning he didn't really eat much breakfast. He has been out all day grazing and was sweating between his back legs when I brought him in. He hasn't really eaten any tea but is tuckuing into his hay.
Just been back to check him and he has stopped sweating and is still happily eating hay.
Anyone else having feed issues? I'm hoping it's just the grass coming through.

Yeah a couple of ours have the first week the grass started coming through and were out a lot more, think they're just stuffing themselves during the day!
All bright and happy, a couple of the chunkier horses that haven't shed yet have also come in a bit sweaty at times, probably from having a play around with all the new nice sunshine!

If he's eating well on his hay and has plenty of grass, wouldn't worry to much about his shortfeed as they seem to go off it when plenty of grass about, the weather in the south east has been sunny but north east wind which is bitterly cold, so mine are still wanting the full everthing and are a little sweaty when they come in
