Can anyone reccomend me some clippers?

To do 3/4 full clips on my fairly fluffy new forest each year, not got a huge budget but figure it will be cheaper than paying someone else. :rolleyes:

I have Liveryman clippers and they are ok but are a bit heavy, noisy and vibrate a lot. I wanted what my friend has - Heiniger clippers. Easy to use, quiet and lighter than mine with a wrist strap! They were cheaper too. I was given mine by my OH as a Xmas pressie. He knew what I wanted but left it too late and went to the tack shop on xmas eve (virtually) and was sold the Liveryman.

I have the heiniger ones! I had liverman before and they were loud, heavy and got far too hot. I love the ones I have now!
 
I got some £60 ones off ebay and have done 6 clips with them so far, havent needed the blades sharpening yet and it came with a spare which i'm yet to use. They dont get too hot and they come in a sturdy case and loooong cable x I have done 2 blanket clips and 4 full clips with them (17hh horse) x
 
i bought them because they are from a real shop which also has its own website and sold DIY stuff so thought it would be better than just buying from someone on ebay. They come with 4 little spring things (spares i assume), oil, spare blades and they go back in the case fairly easily (as long as you wrap the cable up nicely!) I dont know how they'd compare if you were used to using the top of the range clippers but these worked perfect on mine and also took my friends horses feathers off easily, even with the mud in!! x
 
I have Liveryman Stallion clippers, have yet to use them, but bought 2nd hand for a good price. Did have the Liveryman Harmony ones, they were Ok for one TB, but couldn't really hack 3 horses!
 
Heiniger Handy - excellent when clipping hairy horses as they go through an exmoor's multi-layered coat like hot knife through butter!
