Hello, my name is Ellie I am 18 and have had a pony since the age of 3! I have recently had to say goodbye to my beautiful mare after 9 years of her company! so I am at a complete lose end, im not ready to even look at buying a new horse yet, but I am completely lost I am used to spending 7 days a w3eek at the yard around work.

so I was wondering if I could help any one out, I have got my BHS stable management and riding and was a yard manager for 2 years whilst completing my RDA quall so I am knowledgeable, just un equipped

I miss all parts of having a horse even the poo picking! so if anyone has a part loan or needs a little extra help please hit me up it would be much appreciated

I am based in Cannock but do drive so traveling a short distance would not be to much of an issue

hopefully I talk to you later Ellie

So sorry for your loss Ellie. Your girl has left a big hole in your life hasn't she. Am sure she will always be in your heart. I am sorry that you are not in my area. There is plenty to be doing around here. You sound well experienced and qualified so will be an asset to anyone who needs help. It might be worth putting a few notices with the local tack shops/ feed stores/ farrier - facebook probably have horse pages for your area too. Hope you find something soon x

I'm really sorry to hear about your mare. Your love for her shone through in your post.

If you wanted something to keep you occupied, the endurance season is starting back up again and we are always looking for volunteers to help with the rides. You'd get to meet new people, make new friends, and who knows you might even get the bug yourself. Your local group website is here:
http://www.endurancehorseriding.co.uk

It's a little bit further away but a friend of mine is running a ride at the Forest of Dean on the 28th February, and I know she is really desperate for help. The details are here:

You will never forget your mare, but hopefully with time you will be able to remember her with pride and not sadness.

I hope that you get lots of offers of things to do to help you work through the grieving process xxx

Take care, and be kind to yourself.

As I said on the other thread, we are probably just a bit far away for an ongoing thing, but do feel free to come and meet us and maybe you could come over once a week or someting until you have found something closer.

What a shame you're not a bit closer to me as I think my sharer will be moving away in summer so I'll be needing someone a couple of days a week! Good luck finding something. Keep your eye out on various Facebook local groups for sharer ads.
