TB wore a Shires fine mesh fly mask for 1 day and already developed hair loss and rubs. Mask was fitted snuggly but with enough room to get a couple of fingers in all round.

Can anyone recommend a face mask for a horse with very thin skin?

Mines got a shires full head fly mask (with the ears etc) which has fleece round the edge, either that or we've got what i think is an equilibrium one with padding round nose, under jaw and on poll which he's been ok with.

does yours rub them off? can you put it on a little loose or will that come off within 5 mins?

Hi thanks for the recommendations, I'll take a look. Problem is, he's out a youngster and they tend to frolic about. Nothing much is safe from being pulled off! The horse is REALLY sensitive though. The slightest rub and he ends up bald and irritated.

The roma one is lycra with a fly mask panel, try that
