Hello
Can anyone recommend a good Peugeot model / 4x4 suitable to pull a trailer??

It has to be a Peugeot as the dad always likes to srick with Peugeot... Will be pulling an Ifor Williams fir x 2 Welsh D's??

Thanks all :)

As part of a family group that have been selling VAG cars since 1953 I have to say there is no such thing as a good Peugeot - unless it's one on its way to the great scrapheap in the sky.

^^ this

youl need a decent weight of vehicle to tow an ifor with 2 sec d's.

Checked the 4007 there break towing capacity is 2000kg... My ponies are 14'1. Whats the average weight of an Ifor?? I csn see me settling for a small 3.5 box and a cheap run around car :( x

Weigh your ponies and tack on the vets scales before you plump for a 3.5 tonner. Remember that on top of the ponies and tack you will need to carry all their kit and passenger(s). You could find the available payload is not sufficient.

Yea this is wat i thought :(

I like the 3.5 Renaults the conversions seem to be coming up at around .£9000... Anyone rate them? My friend of a friend has one an luvs it... May settle for one of them iv herd there also reletavly chesp to insure? Thoughts...?

I think hic was also referring to the small lorry. My Ifor is something like 1150kg. I have a car with a 2000kg allowance and can only legally take one. My biggest is a 15.3 TB so not a heavy horse. Also, 4x4 is seriously handy for pulling away out of muddy fields you have been parked on all day when the wheels have sunk a little.
Yes people do tow 2 with smaller towing vehicles, but it's not legal and is highly likely to invalidate your insurance. You may not crash, but someone else could quite easily run into you, and you'd be screwed.
