Recommend a horsebox?

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable horsebox builder in or around East Anglia?

Thorpe horseboxes came very highly recommended on here, i went and looked at the build quality and was impressed. i chose another make purely because they had one ready immediately (Solitaire, very pleased with it) but Thorpe was my next choice, it was only the 6-week wait that did not suit me.

Priory Stud in Essex is a nice familly firm who will buld you a nice new container on a chassis cab rather than do a conversion of an existing body.

Does anyone have any experience of East Anglian Horseboxes, as seen at Suffolk Show?

I travelled from the Midlands to Thorpe Horseboxes to view one of their boxes. I'd asked loads of questions before I went as it was a really long drive. I arrived there & saw the lorry...... it was the biggest piece of over priced junk I'd ever seen. I certainly wouldn't have put my horses in it. They had been less than truthful about condition & the living would have needed totally ripping out as it was filthy & a health hazard. I wouldn't have used it as a dog kennel. Oh & they wanted nearly £17000 for it

It was a used one of their own builds......I could never recommend that company or the truthfulness of the brothers running it.

I eventually bought a used Tristar Horsebox, a reputable company producing quality builds that will actually carry 3 horses & remain within the 7.5 ton weight limit.

Oh & Kerilli you shouldn't really used Thorpe & Solitaire in the same sentence, Solitaire are a real quality build.
