Ok guys need your help. I want to buy a lightweight turnout for our 15.2 coloured cob mare to wear on warmer wetter days. She's great with her rugs so I don't need anything too robust/expensive (unlike my other rug wrecking girly). Obviously need something which is a good fit for cobby types, perhaps with shoulder darts. Don't want a combo but option to buy a separate neck rug would be good for day before a show!

I have a strapping Welsh Section D (who also looks after her rugs). I always buy Mark Todd rugs for her, as they are generously cut, and so many brands are really quite skimpy, not allowing for cobs' strong shoulders, wider backs and large rumps!

Her MT light turnout is excellent - basically it's a 'rain-rug'; it has a tail fillet, and comes nice and far down her legs (she's 15.3). Think you can also get them (as with their MWs and HWs) with detachable neck cover if desired, but not certain of that.

i also use a mark todd lightweight but the same company make JHL and its alot cheaper but same rug without mark todd written on it (JHL jumping horse line)

I've just bought two premier equine buster zeros with 20% off
They are very nice fit/quality and have good 'depth' so might suit your horse

I have 3 HW cobs so have tried a few brands over the years. Found Weatherbeeta way too tight on the shoulders, Mark Todd/JHL not bad, but best by far for my guys are the Horseware Amigos (can't afford the Rambos!) and Premier Equine range.

Another vote for the Mark Todd rugs. My chunky Clydesdale has a rain sheet (no fill) and a lightweight and he's had them years and they fit really well around the chest and also depth.
Masta's look like mini skirts on him and Rambo don't do up at the front!!
The Amigo rugs are another good fit but I did find that I had to reproof them every year.
